JAMU has two faculties – the Faculty of Music and the Theatre Faculty. The university also has two theatres: Theatre on Orlí street and Studio Marta.

The dramatic arts are studied here. Students can spend three years studying for their BA, another two for their MA, and also an extra four to earn a Doctorate. Studying here takes the form of lectures, seminars, specialized practice, concerts and theatrical, musical or multimedia performances.

The applicants for study can choose between 44 study programmes in the BA, the follow-up MA and in the doctoral degree. The teaching is performed by renowned pedagogues who at the same time are active performing artists, musicologists or music manager.
